Feb 20 - Spanish Government Insistent on Quadrilateral Forum

The Spanish Government intends on insisting to the UK Government, that the trilateral forum, that allows for talks between Gibraltar, the UK and Spain, must be converted to allow for a fourth party, the Campo de Gibraltar. The PP Government has made this point before but now intends to insist it.

Europa Sur reports that the Quadrilateral Forum would include representatives from La Linea as well as representatives of the entire region. The Spanish Government claims that they no longer object to the presence of Gibraltar in meetings, but will introduce a fourth party.

Feb 20 - RGP Superintendent on Command Course

RGP Superintendent Ian McGrail is currently taking part in the Strategic Command Course at Bramshill, UK in order to prepare for future promotion to chief officer rank.

The course is being held by the ‘College of Policing’, which recently replaced the National Police Improvement Agency. The course comprises of three core modules: business skills, executive leadership skills and thirdly command skills. The delegates have been broken into five syndicates with each expected to work on projects as a team.

Feb 20 - Locals Fined for Window Shutter Theft

Yesterday morning, locals Stephanie Brabin and Jose Marques Hurtado both pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court, to joint charges of theft and criminal damage.

The case dates to July of 2011 when Brabin and Hurtado, both aged 39, of 3 Raven House, Road to the Lines, were alleged to have stolen and caused damage to four window shutters, the property of the Government of Gibraltar.
