Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
A stamp sheetlet commemorating the Royal Marines 350th Anniversary this weekend will be issued by the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau, in conjunction with the Government of Gibraltar. The Royal Marines share a gratifying history with Gibraltar, with the Rock featuring on the force’s badge.
The Government’s Department of the Environment is finalising its work on the production of legislation to govern local angling, spearfishing, diving and the activity of dolphin tourism vessels, as well as fishing for tuna within BGTW. This follows extensive consultation with stakeholders.
