Oct 18 - RGP Welcomes 18 Further Police Constables

rgpYesterday 18 further Royal Gibraltar Police constables were presented with their certificates welcoming them into the force. Police Constables Philbin, Stewart, Bright, Perez, Ferrary, Reyes, Parker, Balloqui, Trinidad, Sweet, Benhakim, Borge, Victor, Fraser, Hermida, Gonzalez, Jimenez and Passano were inspected by the Governor as they paraded in John Mackintosh Square in front of senior RGP Officers, Members of Parliament, His Worship the Mayor and Chief Minister Fabian Picardo.

Oct 18 - Costa Attends High Profile Events in London

neil costa Minister for Tourism, Public Transport, Commercial Affairs and the Port, the Hon Neil Costa MP will be taking part in several high profile events in connection with the celebrations of Gibraltar Day in London.

On Monday 21st he will host a ‘Maritime and Tourism’ breakfast at Trinity House for leading representatives of the two sectors. At this event, his speech will examine Gibraltar’s performance in these areas over the past year.

Oct 18 - Picardo Congratulates Mayor on New Position as Honorary Commander

chiefThe Chief Minister has sent his warmest congratulations to His Worship the Mayor on being appointed as an Honorary Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve. This appointment was made on the recommendation of the First Sea Lord and then approved by HM The Queen.

Tony Lima was the last Commanding Officer of Gibraltar’s Royal Naval Reserve unit, HMS Calpe, which was disestablished in 1993.
