Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Minister for Sports, Culture, Heritage and Youth Steven Linares, has congratulated all the dancers from the different dance groups who participated, under the auspices of the Gibraltar National Dance Organisation, at this year’s Dance World Cup held this week in Brighton, England.
The Minister for Sport Steven Linares this afternoon presented the dartboard used in the final of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy to Trisha Parker a representative of William Hill Online.
The Minister for Sports, Culture Heritage and Youth, Steven Linares has sent a message to Gillaine Alman, Director of Transitions Dance Academy congratulating her dancers in achieving such great results including the “Junior Grand Prix overall winners” at the New Prague Dance Festival held in the Prague, Czech Republic last week.
Entertaining the masses in Casemates Square late last week, and once again this afternoon, the Highland Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland performed a set of jazzy tunes for the public. The band flew over to Gibraltar last week to perform at the ‘Big Up Diaz Tribute Charity Concert’ along with the Band of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, in order to raise funds for local charity, ‘Pathway Through Pain’ and pay tribute to Philip Diaz.
