European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The Gibraltar Kennel Club was recently accepted as a full member of the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the international federation of kennel clubs following a secret ballot held by member countries who voted to accept Gibraltar’s application by a majority of 32 votes to 26.
The Opposition has voiced their astonishment at the Government’s pettiness within press releases. They insist that if the administration spent more time ‘ getting on with the job they were elected to do, they might be delivering some of the change that they promised people at the last election.’
The GSD notes that the latest petty press release concerns the issuing of public statements after questions have been lodged by the Opposition, a matter that we have not raised publicly in relation to this Parliamentary session.
The Gibraltar Classic Vehicle Association (GCVA) hopes that by the end of this coming Saturday 18th May its members and their guests will become experts on the Great Siege and the exploits of one Col. John Drinkwater Bethune.
Once more the GCVA is using the opportunity of the vehicles to promote Gibraltar. It seems appropriate that an association dedicated to the preservation of our motoring heritage should celebrate all of Gibraltar's heritage.
