Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
In a statement on the effect of the recent amendments made by the Government to the Nature Protection Act, the GSD has called upon the Chief Minister to state publicly whether members of the La Linea and Algeciras fishing associations will have to apply for a licence in Gibraltar, or if they will be allowed to fish by virtue of their existing membership of their ‘Cofradias’.
This December will see a new International show hosted by Masters of Illusion. The fifth edition of the annual event will see World Champion of magic, Norbert Ferre headline the performance with ‘with a great mix of magic and an all star cast you won’t even want to blink all night’. Five performances will be held at the Ince’s Hall, with tickets starting from £10.
The Government has extended the boundary of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve to coincide more closely with that of the Rock of Gibraltar Special Area of Conservation (SAC) designated under the EU Habitats Directive.
Nina Danino’s solo exhibition “and the figtrees in the Alameda gardens” will be displayed at the Garrison Library from 13 November –4 December from Monday - Friday 10am -5pm.
