Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
This afternoon, the Chief Minister, accompanied by Mrs Picardo, will leave the Rock for Morocco. The Chief Minister will visit the Royal Gibraltar Regiment which is currently on Exercise Jebel Sahara on a training area close to the city of Marrakech.
Her Majesty The Queen has approved that Sunday 10th November will be observed as Remembrance Sunday. This year, as last year, the Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at the British War Memorial on Line Wall Road, opposite City Hall, at noon.
