The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Just over a month ago Gibraltar once again chose a GSLP/Liberal Government at the polls. That victory was a ringing endorsement of our work in office over the last four years and it provided overwhelming public backing for the policies set out in our 2015 election manifesto. The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation (GNDO) has today launched its seventh newsletter outlining the work that was done by the organisation both in Gibraltar and abroad from July to December 2015.
Following a burglary at Mamma Mia Pizzeria & Pasta House in the early hours of Monday 4th January 2016, Area Response Team officers pursued and arrested 18-year-old Nabil MEDHURST EL HABALI of Constitution House, Glacis Estate, on suspicion of Burglary. A second person was able to make good his escape.
Volunteers are putting the finishing touches to eight floats which are set to participate in this evening’s cavalcade up Main Street. They will be joined by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band, the Sea Scouts Pipe Band, Miss Gibraltar and Princesses and, of course, the Three Kings themselves.
