European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.

The GSD has said that the latest statement from the Chief Minister that the site now chosen by the Government to locate the LNG bunkering storage tanks will mean that no potential escape of LNG will reach residential areas “is nonsensical”. The Opposition argues that it is a statement made “without the benefit of an expert report” and follows “similar categorical assurances” in the past that these facilities are 100% safe when, according to the party, “as a matter of common sense it is obvious no one can guarantee that an accident will never occur.”
As a reward for their hard work and participation throughout the year, a group of young people from the Youth Centre enjoyed a three-day summer camp at Huerta Grande, Pelayo, Spain.
The Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, has congratulated Sebastian Desoiza who has completed the three day World Junior Golf Championships tournament at Pinehurst, North Carolina last week finishing second out of all the European participants and in 21st position overall against 150 boys from over 25 different countries.
