Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
In the run up to Christmas, as individuals rush around attempting to juggle work and buying Christmas presents, next Wednesday 17th December will be a ‘Late Night Christmas Shopping’ Day. The event follows on from the success of ‘Small Business Saturday’, with fair attractions and a bouncy castle available to children for free in Piazza and Casemates Square.
Members of the Youth Centre recently participated in a fun-filled, educational weekend free of mobiles phones and the internet at Europa Retreat Centre. The weekend was themed around Internet Safety, Cyberbullying and young people’s over reliance on Social Media and electronics.
In response to GSD spokesperson for Housing, Edwin Reyes’ claims that a number of homes in Glacis Estate were affected by rainwater recently the Government has insisted that it is the fault of years of neglect under the GSD administration that has led to the recent flagship refurbishment of the estate.
