In a press statement on the Spanish Interior Ministery website today, Jorge Fernandez Diaz, Interior Minister for spain, was quoted as saying "Spanish Police and Guardia Civil fulfil their duties in an exemplary manner and will not belittled in such a cowardly way".

The Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce has today welcomed Barclays’ decision to continue its operation in Gibraltar, even though employee numbers are set to drop over the next few months.
Following last night’s power outage, which struck the whole of Gibraltar at 3:22 am, the Gibraltar Electricity Authority has claimed that the issue was caused by an earth fault, ‘which caused the voltage and frequency to plummet, thus activating the falling frequency protection which load shedded all main feeders.’
