Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
A local man, Christopher Santos, aged 43 years, was today sentenced to 8 weeks imprisonment after having pleaded guilty for the offence of failing to supply a breath specimen and driving a vehicle whilst disqualified.
As part of 'Gibraltar Summer Activities' a group of eleven youngsters this morning visited the Mayor’s office in order to learn about the history of the City Hall and the Mayor’s Parlour. The group made up of children whose parents are in the Forces questioned the Mayor on his role and his medallion.
