Feb 27 - Road Traffic Accident Along Queensway

Yesterday night at approximately 8pm, two motorbikes collided along Queensway. Both motorists suffered injuries and required hospitalisation. Following the accident, RGP officers closed off the road for an hour..

A witness of the incident told YGTV that one of the motorists, a woman, seemingly in her mid 20s to early 30s, was seen driving over the speed limit on the opposite side of the road when she collided with another motorcyclist and an Audi. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and skidded into the Queensway Quay car park. The witness reports that he seemed to be suffering with a broken leg.

Feb 27 European Arrest Warrant

Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police Drug Squad acting on the authority of a European Arrest Warrant have arrested a 55 year old British national.

The warrant issued by Gloucester Crown Court in the UK, in the name of Stephen Richard HOLMES with date of birth 11/11/57 currently of White Wave House, Gibraltar, is in relation to fourteen drug related charges.

Feb 27 - STM Group Host Fun Run in Aid of Wobbles

On Sunday 14^th April, The STM Group are holding a fun run around the Rock, in aid of local children’s charity Wobbles. The run will begin at 10am at Casemates Square and will be split into a 5-kilometre town run or a 10 kilometre run around the Rock, for those brave and fit enough.

For those wishing to enter the 10K race, a £10 entry fee must be submitted in advance, or £15 on the day. Those entering the 5K run are asked to pay either £5 in advance or £10 on the day. Event t-shirts will be on sale at £5 each, but participants must order before 28^th March. Individuals who raise more than £25 for the charity will receive a t-shirt for free.
