Mar 15 - Government Opposition Alameda Estate Feud Continues

alameda estateThe GSD Opposition has asked the Government to come clean on the various issues affecting Alameda Estate, ‘rather than muddying the waters with half truths’ and blaming the former administration. The Party insists that for the Government to state that they have carried out repair works in the Estate for a year, that have resulted in a reduction of lift breakdown, ‘is simply not true’.

They add, ‘according to reports received in the GSD offices breakdowns have systematically continued following the multitude of "tinkering" works carried out on the lifts over this year resulting in a total loss of confidence in them by tenants, including the elderly and wheelchair users.’

Feb 14 New Website For The 2013 International Jazz Festival

New Jazz Festival WebsiteGibraltar’s second International Jazz Festival has a new website which is now up-and-running.

Naturally, the website carries all the obvious information such as the festival dates (17 – 19 October), the venues (the Rock Hotel’s Khaima Marquee and the Patio Chico car park) and the line-ups of solo artistes and bands. This line-up will be updated throughout the summer.

The new website uses all the latest technology to carry video clips and audio from the 2012 festival and it can be viewed instantly on a wide range of IT systems without the need to download any additional software.
