Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Action 4 Schools Sierra Leona charity has revealed that the ever popular chocolate Santas and advent calendars are available once again, for purchase, in aid of the charity’s school and water well projects in Sierra leone.
Chocolate Santa and advent calendars are priced at £2. All orders must be made by 14th November.
A presentation will be hosted by the Instituto Cervantes this evening. Sebastián de la Obra, director of the Casa de Sefarad in Cordoba, will deliver a talk titled “Sefarad: La memoria es más fuerte que las piedras.”

The Gibraltar National Dance Team is all set to participate at the 2014 European Show Dance Championships under the auspices of the Gibraltar National Dance Organisation (GNDO). The event that will be staged at the Erdgas Arena, in Riesa, Germany, will see over 1,100 dancers from 20 European countries taking part. Dancers will be travelling from many European countries to join in this spectacular event organised by the International Dance Organisation (IDO).
