European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Opposition member for the Environment, Jaime Netto, has written to Dr. John Cortes regarding this issue of the Barbary Macaques. Within the document, Mr. Netto notes, ‘I am aware that drastic solutions to the problem, such as culling animals, are problematic.

The Gibraltar Netball under 17 team won Gold at the Netball European Championships held in Malta last weekend. Commenting on the feat, Minister for Sport Steven Linares congratulated the team, claiming that they had all once again, excelled themselves and made Gibraltar proud.
The Gibraltar Electricity Authority would like to apologise for any inconvenience to the public on account of the power outage that occurred on Tuesday 12th March 2013 affecting the majority of GEA consumers. The outage occurred at approximately 16.40hrs with all consumers having power restored by 18.55hrs.
