The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
As recently announced at the National Day rally, Denis Matthews has stood down as the Chairman of the SDGG after a long tenure which has seen him present 12 National Days to the people of Gibraltar. Denis will nevertheless remain as Vice-Chairman of the Group.

Three managers of the Border and Coastguard Agency, James Hernandez, Joseph Molinari and Stephen Perez, have successfully completed the Chartered Management Institute Level 5 qualification over the last year.
They were this week presented certificates by the Deputy Chief Minister. The qualification is designed for managers as well as those aspiring to senior management and to Chartered Manager status. It aims to develop key skills such as managing resources, recruitment and information management.
The Department of the Environment is launching its Energy Efficiency Awareness Campaign this September as part of its wider environmental awareness programme. The aim of the campaign is to encourage the public to save both energy and water and raise awareness as to the more efficient use of these valuable resources.
