The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
A serial burglar was today sent to jail for 21 months after breaking into Bianca’s Restaurant and stealing almost £4,000 from a slot machine. Christian Baglietto also caused damage amounting to almost £10,000 during the burglary which took place at the end of July.

A 28-year old local man was this morning sentenced to seven years in prison after stabbing his friend in a violent daytime attack. Anthony Da Palma Costa approached the victim outside MRW Couriers in Cornwall’s Centre stabbing him repeatedly in broad daylight with a weapon that was never discovered but which, according to medical experts, might have been a screwdriver. In total, Da Palma Costa inflicted five stab wounds, one of which was considered life threatening.
