Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture is reminding local artists to participate in the annual Art Competition for Young Artists that will be held in February 2018. Closing date for receipt of entries is 6pm on Friday 16th February.
The Gibraltar Teachers’ Association has called on the senior management teams (SMT) at four schools to lift their ban on meetings on school premises “unconditionally.” The union says that it cannot accept the condition that SMTs be consulted before issuing press releases or be subject to any censorship from SMTs when speaking to the press.
On the eve of the first centenary this Tuesday 6 February of the passing of a law which finally partially conceded the right to vote for women, the Equality Rights Group Chairman, Felix Alvarez, has stated that ERG “stands firmly” with the Gibraltar Women’s Association in its recent call for legislation which will safeguard the reproductive rights of women in our community.
