The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The Governement says it notes what it calls the “unsustainable excuses” deployed by Keith Azopardi and Charles Gomez while claiming that the Government has “uncovered their unsuccessful attempts to seek that Direct Rule be imposed on Gibraltar.”
Officers from the RGP Operations Division currently investigating recent instances of Violence and Anti-Social Behaviour in the area of Glacis Estate have carried out several arrests. These follow an incident of Violent Disorder at Glacis Estate last Friday, where seven individuals were arrested by RGP Response Team officers and where bladed weapons were seized.
The Government has announced that all applications received for the Gibraltar Enterprise Scheme have now been reviewed by the scheme’s referral panel. The panel is mainly comprised of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses.
