Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Department of the Environment has arranged for two bowsers of non-potable water to be deployed at two locations around Gibraltar. These are the Morrisons car park and the lower level of New Harbours Industrial Park.
As from tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd August, the Europa Pool complex will be closed. This is because the Europa Pool uses a significant amount of water during its operation in order to maintain water in optimum condition.
The Office of Civil Contingencies, upon the advice of the Ministry for Equality, have made additional provision for showering facilities with the assistance of the Care Agency.

The Chief Minister has also been subsequently briefed with a further Strategic Coordination Meeting scheduled for later today.
