The Royal Gibraltar Police has received several reports from persons who have either been telephoned or received e-mails purporting to be from a bank seeking to verify details relating to their bank accounts.
The Chief Minister will be addressing the Law Faculty of Cadiz University tomorrow evening. Mr. Picardo has been invited by the University to give a Talk at its premises in Algeciras.
The title of the talk is ‘Gibraltar, its relations with the Campo Area and Opportunities for the Future.’ During his brief stay in Algeciras, the Chief Minister will hold a Press Conference for local and Spanish media.
The Defenders of Gibraltar will hold a Demonstration on Saturday, 30th November at 11am outside the Spanish Embassy in London.
Following yesterday’s report that Guardia Civil officers at the Gibraltar Spain Frontier opened a bag belonging to a Diplomat, the Minister for Europe in the UK, David Lidington today announced that the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recognised that the bag was in fact a Diplomatic bag. They also reassured the UK that there would not be a repeat of these actions.
