During a recent visit to Gibraltar’s Army Cadet Unit at Buffadero Training Centre, His Excellency the Governor announced that Cadet Corporal James Cpl James Aguilera would be the first ‘Governor’s Cadet.’ As the first cadet to hold this new title, James will take part in both the Queen’s Birthday parade and the Governor’s Garden Party in his new role and wearing his new badge of office.

The first phase of the Government’s programme to carry out improvements to the tourism product has come to fruition. Works have already been completed at the Great Siege Tunnels, Moorish Castle, the 100 Ton Gun exhibition, St Michael’s Cave, Jews’ Gate, Apes’ Den, the Gibraltar Cruise Terminal and Waterport Fountain along with minor works at other locations.
