European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The Ministry for Culture is reminding the general public of their event, Book-Crossing Day tomorrow Saturday 31st May at the Lobby of Parliament House between 11am and 2pm. This is the sixth time that an event of this type is organised in Gibraltar.
For over three decades Gibraltarian dancers have been putting Gibraltar on the map by competing in dance competitions across the world. Now the Rock will have a chance to show the world what a strong dance nation it is! Gibraltar is set to become the focal point of top dancers across Europe when it stages the 2015 European Show Dance Championships.
Scott Wiseman has been released from the Gibraltar National Squad for the game against Malta. Wiseman has reportedly had “an extremely tough season” and in conjunction with Preston North End FC, the Gibraltar FA have released him to allow him to properly recover from an injury he has been carrying for some time now, which has not fully healed.
Gibraltar took the opportunity to raise the issue of the continued harassment by Spain at the 44th Conference of the British Isles and Mediterranean Region (BIMR) of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. The conference is currently being held in Cardiff.
