Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
A report published today by the Government, reveals that in 1999, twelve years before the previous administration left office, they were aware that ‘by 2010 the engines available at Waterport Power Station would be unable to cope with demand.’
The Royal Gibraltar Police is investigating a small number of cases where social media has been used to make comments or post things that may be considered offensive or leading to racial or religious hatred.
An RGP statement on the matter insisted that ‘these appear to follow current world events where varying opinions and viewpoints are common.’
