European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
With the 2014 Gibraltar Drama Festival set to take place between Tuesday 18th and Saturday 22nd March 2014, a list of 11 plays has been announced by the Ministry for Culture.
The first set of performances include; ‘All Gone’, a non-competitive entry by juniors of the Santos Productions Academy. The short comedy is written by Julia Donaldson. Santos Productions will also present ‘The Ant and the Grasshopper’ and ‘Friendly Differences’ a comedy drama by Kerry Muir. The Ince’s Hall Theatre will also see the production of ‘No Minister’, an original comedy by Leroi Capeldi, presented by Rock Theatre.
The GSD Opposition says that it continues to receive a significant volume of complaints about the parking situation, in and around the city centre, by both residents, and those who travel in and out of town by car during the working week. The volume of traffic during the school run and other peak times continues to be another source of rising concern.
The mark the end of their awareness campaign, Childline Gibraltar is hosting a Blue Week Quiz on Friday 14th March 2014 at 7:30pm. The event, to be held at the Royal Calpe will costs £15 per person and requires teams of 4 – 6.
