Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Team and site details for this year’s Clean Up the World Campaign, to be carried out on September 20th, were finalised this week. Twenty areas of focus have been decided upon and 30 teams have been put together.
A CUTW spokesperson noted that teams will be tackling green, seafront and upper rock sites, underwater and boat access only areas, the local environment will see direct benefit and awareness will be raised about litter problems and the need to implement further solutions.

The Gibraltar National Dance Team has returned to the Rock after representing Gibraltar at the World Show Dance Championships. The event was staged in Prague, Czech Republic with nearly 2,400 dancers from 26 nations taking part. The event was organised for the renowned world governing body the International Dance Organisation (IDO) by the Czech Dance Organisation (CDO).
