Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Gibraltar today welcomed the opening of its first MAC counter. The world-renowned high-end make-up brand can be found at S.M Seruya’s central store at 139 Main Street.
MAC has fact become one of the most popular make-up brands, with its fair prices and long lasting properties. It was once marketed for use by make-up artists but has taken over as one of the leading brands for consumers.
This picture, taken by our roving reporter, shows a group of curious tourists snapping away at a couple of street performers who regularly occupy this spot at the beginning of Main Street.
Following the success of the Santos Productions choir at the European Choir Games last weekend, the Chief Minister invited the group to No.6 Convent Place, in order to congratulate them.
The choir took the chance to perform a couple of the pieces that won them two gold medals, including Viva la Vida by Coldplay and Queen’s Somebody to Love.
