The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
The man who is the focus of a libel action after he posted comments on his Facebook profile about the Chief Minister has said that Mr Picardo’s use of taxpayers’ money to fund the legal case is “unfair.”

A former soldier was given a 20-week sentence suspended for a year for causing bruising to his ex-partner’s four children when rough play and discipline went too far. Liam Traverso appeared at the Supreme Court today, after having pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault and four counts of actual bodily harm.
The Summer Sports and Leisure Programme is about to enter its second week of fun activities. The programme is sponsored by NatWest and co-ordinated by the Gibraltar Sports & Leisure Authority (GSLA) and consists of the Sports Train, Children’s Corner and Teen Sports, all organised directly by the GSLA within the Bayside Sports Centre. The GSLA has also partnered with Gibraltar’s voluntary sports associations and leisure providers to allow for a broad and diverse range of other sports and leisure opportunities which will take place at the Bayside Sports Centre and other leisure facilities over the next week.
