A new podcast giving information on the second phase of beach improvements recorded by Minister for Tourism, Neil Costa, and the Minister for Equality, Social Services and the Elderly Samantha Sacramento, will be posted in the Ministry of Transport website later today. The podcast features the deployment of jellyfish nets that will help minimise stinging incidents that have been prevalent in beaches in the past, and also the provision of specialised equipment that will enable persons with reduced mobility to have access to the beach and be able to enjoy swimming facilities as well.
The Government and Unite the Union say they are happy to announce that they have reached an agreement to form a joint working group to discuss the future strategy of the Gibraltar Development Corporation (GDC).
After months of continued negotiations, the Government can now confirm that it has reached an agreement with Commercial Developments Investments Limited (“CDI”) in respect of the Old Naval Grounds site. By way of background, CDI had been granted a development licence by the previous GSD administration to develop residential, office and commercial premises as well as a car parking facility in an area of over 11,300 square metres at the site of the Old Naval Grounds.
