European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The Special Olympics Gibraltar Football Team have been invited to participate in the Gareth Cowin Memorial Trophy to be held in Liverpool. This tournament has been organised by the SO Isle of Man and Isle of Man FA club. The teams participating are: Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City 1, Manchester City 2, Pontefract, Bradford, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
The GSD says it has noted Mr Picardo’s comments in the press “decrying” the cost of remedial works to projects built during the GSD’s tenure in office. The party says that Mr Picardo “conveniently forgets” that it cost the GSD Government over £20 million to put right the poor workmanship in estates such as Westside 1, Westside 2 and Brympton to name but a few.
The Gibraltar FA’s Head of Women’s Football, Tracey Baglietto, recently completed the UEFA Women in Football Leadership Programme which was held at UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland.
The GSD Opposition says that it notes what it describes as a “very defensive statement” issued by the Government in relation to the allocation process for the two new affordable housing schemes.
