The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Childline Gibraltar will hold its annual awareness-raising Blue Day on Friday 14 March. On Blue Day, Childline volunteers will visit local schools while staff at many local companies will show their support by dressing in blue for the day.
On Saturday 15th, the Gibraltar Rockettes Cheerleaders will support Childline by performing in Casemates Square between 12 noon and 1pm. Winners of the recent Cheersport solo competition will also be performing.
With a much better performance from the GFA, than during Saturday night’s friendly against the Faroe Islands, Estonia’s national team yesterday beat the home side 2 – 0 at the Victoria Stadium.
The match marked former Stoke and Chester Defender Danny Higginbotham’s last ever football game. He was met with a standing ovation from the crowd as he departed the pitch in the last half of the match, to make way for the GFA’s Jamie Robba.
Coinciding with tomorrow’s World Book Day celebrations, the Ministry of Culture has purchased £6000 worth of new books for the John Mackintosh Hall Library, including adult fiction, adult non-fiction and children’s fiction.
