Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Government says that it's “remarkable” that the GSD think it is OK to be critical of hard working government officials in education and in the Port Authority and yet they cannot accept that criticism should be levelled at the members of their party when they get their facts wrong.
The Government says it notes “with surprise” the statements made by the GGCA in respect of the ITLD Department, especially at a time when a second meeting to discuss matters between Government and the GGCA is scheduled for the 19th September.
The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo leaves for London today for a series of meetings on the negotiations for the future relationship of Gibraltar with the European Union.
