The GSD has sent a letter to all local football clubs explaining its position on the proposed Europa Point stadium and its plans to upgrade Victoria Stadium to a Category Four facility.
Sep 24 - Repairs to Gib Elec Generating Set Almost Complete
The Gibraltar Electricity Authority has announced that the No 3 generating set that was damaged during the Easter Sunday fire at Waterport Power Station are due to be completed tomorrow.
On completion of these repairs, the engine will be tested and commissioned over the next few days. It is likely that the generating set will emit smoke as these tests are carried out.
Sep 24 - Government Backs New Movement's Queen Petition
Local pressure group, Gibraltar’s New Movement, has gained the backing of the Government for their petition requesting that Her Majesty the Queen returns to Gibraltar. The petition was kicked off following the Chief Minister’s National Day speech urging Gibraltarians to call for a return of Her Majesty, who last visited 60 years ago.

By I’ve seen it all the time, I’m at a restaurant or café and I’ll notice people on their phones, both at my table and those around me. And the same thing pops into my head every time: What could be so important and so interesting on your phone that it’s acceptable to ignore the people sat on the same table as you? OK, I admit it, I have looked over people’s shoulders, I’m curious like that; and I think just a handful of times I’ve seen somebody doing something like send an email or a text message, more often than not people are just scrolling through content on Facebook that they’ve already seen.
