Sep 24 - RGP Organises Police Patron Saint Mass

rgpThe RGP Welfare Officer is organising a Mass for the celebration of the feast of the Patron Saint of Police, the Archangel Saint Michael. A mass will be celebrated by the RGP’s Chaplain Monsignor Paul Bear at New Mole House Police Station at 1100hrs on Monday the 29th of September 2014. All serving officers and retired officers are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be served after the mass.

Sep 24 - Isola Hosts Lunch For Swiss Professionals In Geneva And Addresses Invest 14 Forum

Whilst in Geneva, Albert Isola, Minister for Financial Services, hosted a financial services lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues for Swiss financial services professionals who were guests of a delegation comprising members of the Gibraltar Funds and Investments Association (GFIA) and Gibraltar-based firms. The Gibraltar delegation also included Joanne Beiso, Head of Funds Supervision at the Financial Services Commission.

Sep 23 - GSD Calls On Government To Take On Businesses’ Concerns Over Anti-Bullying Law

The GSD Opposition says it notes the “very serious but valid” criticisms which have been levelled by the Chamber of Commerce and the GFSB at the recently implemented Bullying at Work legislation. Both business organisations express concern that the law threatens to make Gibraltar “less competitive” and it is for very similar reasons, says the Opposition, that it was unable to support the law when introduced by the Government in Parliament.
