The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Gibraltar is currently competing in international Jewish athletic competition, the Maccabiah. The event is organised by the Maccabi Federation and is open to Jewish athletes and other Israeli athletes, regardless of religion.
This year’s games are being held in Jerusalem at Teddy Stadium. The event is separated into three separate competitions including ‘open’, ‘Juniors’ and ‘Masters’.
In response to the Chief Minister’s letter to David Cameron following last month’s jet ski incident, Mr Picardo has now received a reply from the Prime Minister.
In his letter, Mr Cameron says that he ‘was very concerned by reports of the incursion and that he raised this directly with the Prime Minister of Spain.
A man was found hanged by the “Barco Vikingo” ride in the La Linea fair yesterday evening. The man, believed to be a Romanian national who worked in the fair, was already dead when he was discovered at around 7:45pm. An ambulance and forensic teams arrived at the scene shortly after.
