The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The Cross Frontier Group, constituted by both Union and Business organizations in Gibraltar and the Campo who aim to promote cooperation between the two communities have expressed ‘their most profuse rejection to the decision by Sñr. Garcia Margallo, Spanish Foreign Minister, to close down the Instituto Cervantes in Gibraltar.’
Late last year the Gibraltar Mental Welfare Society attempted to gather a host of information on some of the more pressing and relevant issues relating to mental health in Gibraltar. Following their period of data collection through the means of face-to-face interview, comments passed on at a public meeting and submissions in writing by different individuals, the group has released a summary of the issues that ‘need to be addressed’.
A new and updated website for the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service marks their 150th Anniversary. Although they have had a web presence since 1998, the new 2015 site is based on the WordPress Version 4.1 open source platform.
