The Ministry for Health and the Environment today announced a new set of installments to aid disabled individuals, at St. Bernard’s Hospital. These include a lift and ramp to allow wheelchair access to the garden, as well as a voice chip in hospital lifts, which will indicate what floors the lift is on, for those who may be visually impaired. Lifts will also indicate which direction the lift is moving in and when doors are opening and closing.
The Royal Gibraltar Police together with the Ministry for Enterprise, Training and Employment are continuing their joint initiative to recruit Police Trainees. The scheme will provide an opportunity for girls and boys, aged 16 or 17, considering a career in policing but who are not yet old enough to join the police to experience working in policing in a safe learning environment.
