Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Yesterday evening, around 19:00 there was an incident in Morrison's Supermarket here in Gibraltar. The Royal Gibraltar Police were called to the scene to try to resolve the issue, and reportedly several individuals were arrested at the time.
A spokesperson from the RGP has issued the following statement:
At 1040hrs today as a result of a fire reported to police, officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police together with the City Fire Brigade attended to Portmore House, situated in Glacis Estate.
With Friday afternoon upon us, at four o'clock the RGP reported a 2-hour queue from vehicles travelling into Spain. The current frontier queue surpasses Devils Tower Road with the Eastside Reclamation holding area currently in operation.
