Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Gibraltar Cultural Services, working alongside playwright, actor, director, and teacher, Julian Felice, will be holding the GibTalks event on Saturday 10th February 2018 at the John Mackintosh Hall.
On the 18th January at approximately 9.00 am, with Ocean Village Marina as one of the lead sponsors in Gibraltar, the man known as the ‘Rowing Marine’ will set off in a 7-meter-long ocean rowing boat named ‘Hope’. He will attempt to become the world’s first physically disabled person to row solo and unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean from Ocean Village Marina in Gibraltar to Venezuela in South America a distance of 3,500 miles.
Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce that the second phase of the Ince’s Hall Theatre north façade refurbishment is now complete.
The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission’s (GFSC) DLT Regulatory Framework came in to effect on 1st January 2018. This means that firms in Gibraltar, that use DLT (also known as blockchain) to store or transmit value belonging to others, now have to apply for a licence from the GFSC.
