Jul 08 - Fifth Anniversary Of Chaima Slim’s Disappearance

Wednesday the 10th of July 2013 will mark the fifth anniversary of Chaima Slim’s disappearance. Chaima, who is now 24 years old, was last see walking across the Gibraltar frontier into Spain at around midnight of the 10 July 2008.

The Royal Gibraltar Police continue to carry out enquiries into her whereabouts and periodically review the investigation. Any new potential lines of investigation will be pursued.

Jul 08 - Isola Becomes Financial Services and Gaming Minister Following Cabinet Reshuffle

albert ministerFollowing GSLP By-election candidate, Albert Isola’s win last week and his swearing in as a Minister of the Gibraltar Government, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo this morning announced that Mr. Isola would take over the ministerial portfolio for Financial Services and Gaming.

These responsibilities were formally held by Justice and Education Minister, Gilbert Licudi. The Government insists that the Cabinet was advised this morning of the minor reshuffle of portfolios. All other ministerial portfolios are to remain the same.
