Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
World Multiple Sclerosis Day (WMSD) takes place on 29th May. It is an international day for action bringing together organizations in more than 80 countries to establish a global MS movement. It is the only global awareness raising campaign for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is coordinated by the MS International Federation.
Marc Ellul has been re-elected as Chairman. At the Annual General Meeting, held on 22nd May 2013, the membership unanimously elected their new Board for the next twelve months.
On Tuesday afternoon, Lady Johns hosted afternoon tea for members of the public in the historic Banqueting Hall at the Convent. Lady Johns is keen to provide an opportunity for Gibraltar residents to attend a reception at The Convent before His Excellency and Lady Johns leave Gibraltar in the autumn. A series of afternoon teas will be hosted between March and September of this year and will be open to members of the public.
