Below follows a statement from the Chief Minister on the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II:
My dear fellow Gibraltarians and residents of Gibraltar,
The death of Queen Elizabeth the Second has been a dreadful blow for all British people and for the people of all Her Realms and Commonwealth.
The whole of Gibraltar is under a cloud of sorrow today.
We are united in mourning.
The Chief Secretary has expressed his condolences on behalf of the Civil Service following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II.
The Chief Minister has received, on behalf of the People of Gibraltar, a number of condolence messages on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from several politicians in the Campo Area.
In the early hours of this morning, officers on Line Wall Road stopped a motorcycle which they believed was exceeding the speed limit. When officers checked the motorcycle, they found a pouch containing a set of knuckle dusters which also incorporated a Taser-type stun gun.
