Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Gibraltar National Museum is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a talk entitled “Notes from All Over” by world renowned author Bill Bryson. Yesterday, the Minister for Health and Care, Gemma Arias-Vasquez, met with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention, Andrew Gwynne, at the Department of Health and Social Care in London.
The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia covered the modern political and constitutional development of Gibraltar, including the question of decolonisation, self-determination and the challenges posed by our departure from the European Union in a presentation to a group from the Dutch National Students Association which was organised by the University of Gibraltar.
Dr Stewart Finlayson of the Gibraltar National Museum has been made an Honorary Research Fellow within the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Science at Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom.
