European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Yesterday evening the first cadre of police trainees for 2014 completed their first year in service. The initiative was kick started by the RGP and the Ministry for Enterprise and Training and saw six youngsters aged sixteen and seventeen experience ‘serving the public and Gibraltar alongside police officers, whilst participating in a structured training and development programme.’ Five of the six trainees completed the year long course.
Throughout the last couple of months young people involved in this year’s youth exchange have been very busy fundraising for their exchange project.
Last month they organised a photography fundraiser, offering the popular Project ID and family portraits. The group would like to extend a massive thank you to those who came along to have their photo taken and supported the project.
