Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Local charity Action 4 Schools – Sierra Leone will celebrate its first anniversary with a three course buffet dinner including beer, wine and soft drinks, as well as an entry into a raffle to win a weekend break. Tickets for the event cost £25 and include live music.
The Ministry for Culture is reminding the general public of their event, Book-Crossing Day tomorrow Saturday 31st May at the Lobby of Parliament House between 11am and 2pm. This is the sixth time that an event of this type is organised in Gibraltar.

Now the Rock will have a chance to show the world what a strong dance nation it is! Gibraltar is set to become the focal point of top dancers across Europe when it stages the 2015 European Show Dance Championships.
Scott Wiseman has been released from the Gibraltar National Squad for the game against Malta. Wiseman has reportedly had “an extremely tough season” and in conjunction with Preston North End FC, the Gibraltar FA have released him to allow him to properly recover from an injury he has been carrying for some time now, which has not fully healed.
