Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.

As part of the recently proposed Upper Rock Management plan, the Devil’s Gap footpath has seen an extensive refurbishment carried out in recent weeks. The renovation set out to make the pathway more accessible and included placing picnic tables at the view point.
This morning, Dr. John Cortes launched environment website Thinking Green.gov.gi. The idea for the website was coined during last October’s ‘Thinking Green Seminar’ that saw high profile activists former president Al Gore and Juan Verde speak on issues relating to Global Warming. The webpage is being managed and updated by the Government’s Department for the Environment and aims to engage the public on environmental matters within Gibraltar, in a less official, and more interactive manner, than the Department’s official website.
