Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, leaves for Glasgow this weekend in order to attend the Liberal Democrat party conference. He will be accompanied by the Minister for Tourism Neil Costa and the Minister for Culture Steven Linares.
She arrived as Schooner Pickle when she first came to Gibraltar last year…tomorrow morning, she will leave the Rock as HMS Pickle with a Navy escort as she sets off for the UK.
Following suggestions by the Opposition of ongoing problems at the Mons Calpe Mews site, including loud noise, the Government has stated that in the five months since work began on the site it is rare for individuals to work later than 8pm.
