European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
In response to the GSD’s recent statement on their invitation to appear on GBC’s Viewpoint yesterday evening the Government has insisted that GBC ‘is bound to implement the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority’s Code on due accuracy, due impartiality and due prominence when assembling a panel for debate that includes political representation.’
Today marked the final day of the RGP mid term children’s camp, with the group receiving their certificates signifying they completed the weeklong course. Today saw the children joined by Superintendent Ullger and the School Liaison officers at the Leisure Centre, playing bowling and eating lunch in appropriate Halloween attire.
Due to urgent remedial works required at the RGP’s Central Police Station in Irish Town a temporary Police Office will be set up in what used to be the Housing Reporting Office at the Northern side of the City Hall at John Mackintosh Square.
The GSD is stunned by the attitude of the Chief Minister towards the freedom of press and the rights of people to hold a debate democratically.
The GSD had been invited to send a representative to tonight’s Viewpoint programme and had elected to send Marlene Nahon, an executive member of the party and as many will know, our candidate at the 2012 by election.
