The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
Dr John Cortes, the Minister for Health today welcomed Miles Scott, Chief Executive of St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation to St Bernard’s Hospital, Gibraltar.
The Captian of the Gibraltar National Squad, Roy Chipolina, will not be travelling to Croatia for this weekend’s friendly. Roy has been allowed to stay at home in Gibraltar for personal and family reasons. Roy will be rejoining the squad upon return from Croatia for next Saturday's European Qualifier in Faro against Germany.
In line with its policy to promote Gibraltar in Europe and the concept of Europe in Gibraltar, the Government of Gibraltar is pleased to invite applications for a scholarship from suitably qualified candidates to study at the College of Europe.
The Government says it takes the Opposition’s “inexorable probing” into the release of information ahead of the final Sustainable Traffic, Transport and Parking Plan report as complimentary; the Opposition, it says, is clearly keen to see the results of the thorough and professional report in order to include its suggestions in their next manifesto. Mr Figueras, adds the Government, has already stated publicly that the GSD would not do away with the Plan if elected into Government.
